Safe Environment Policy , What is it really? Which Priests are Violating It?

These are important documents to read, and I suggest everyone read them.

We will go over these documents with an upcoming post of a Sermon Fr.Geddes FSSP gave to his parish at Holy Family in Vancouver BC. A sermon he gave from the pulpit verbally attacking a parishioner. The audio of that sermon will be posted with quotes.

"Clergy are to provide a work and ministerial environment that is free from physical, sexual, psychological, written or verbal intimidation, bullying or harassment, and are to ensure that the workplace meets or exceeds Archdiocesan Policy for the Prevention of Workplace Bullying & Harassment and legislated standards"

   2. Belittlement or criticism of personal attributes;
      
   3. Derogatory racial or ethnic comments, “jokes” or insults;" 
      

 "Priests, transitional deacons and permanent deacons in our parishes must uphold Christian values and conduct as they minister to, or work with, the people of God. Imitating Christ, the servant-leader, all who serve in these ministries must employ practices that meet the needs of God’s people and promote the highest respect for the dignity of individuals, especially the most vulnerable members of the community."

Vancouver FSSP Priest Gets His Christmas Wish

Fr.Geddes used his Sunday Sermon to "Slam" a parishioner. This blogger in fact and named this blog in his Sunday Sermon. Previous to his sermon. I received a telephone call from Fr.Geddes, it wasn't a conversation at all. Fr.Geddes used all his clerical power to threaten, intimidate and it was very clear he wanted to embarrass me , which was his objective. Fr.Geddes admitted this, this is what he wanted. Father never 'asked' me to take down the blog posting until after he yelled at me. Originally it was a "demand" left on my voice recorder. When I returned his call, Father Geddes exploded on me.

 Fr.Geddes reminded me that "everyone knows you are the author of the blog"

Quotes from Father Geddes while yelling at me over the phone. Don't forget I had just spent a month in the hospital (Fr.Geddes was aware of this). Father has also been aware I have suffered from Heart failure for years.


"I will slam you ........."

"I will embarrass you"

 "You are a liar and an idiot"

"I'm going to tell everyone from the pulpit"

"Do you want to argue with me because I can keep going, I have a lot to say, I won't stop"


Regardless of why Fr.Fromageot left the parish, apparently it was because the Priest broke the "Safe Environment Policy"

This was never originally shared with me, it was only after the fact, when I didn't cave into the threats and demands from Fr.Geddes.

This Christmas my family and I will not be at Holy Family Parish, our home for the last 12 years. Father Geddes has chased us away and made us to be outcasts and unwelcome.

If Father Geddes is NOT talking about me in this parish note then who is he talking about?

Father Geddes is attempting to get rid of our family from the parish. Merry Christmas

It is easy to become discouraged by what has been happening lately in our parish and what is being passed around at the Sunday socials after Mass. 

There will always be those people who love themselves inordinately and desire to advance their own agenda rather than work for the common good.  Can anyone deny that our parish is a real blessing for our own families; one that positively impacts the lives of those who find a home here at Holy Family? Does anything need to change other than the increase of charity and the practice of virtue in ourselves? Yes, we can always improve various areas of our parish but is it so grave as to spread misery to those who are happy with what we have? 

Those who look to advance their own agenda will never be happy and will always find some reason to find fault and sow seeds of discord. They are people who have a different idea of what is the common good of our community because they are trapped within the pursuit of their own particular good. They cannot see the beauty that we see and they try to put scales over our eyes by feeding us their negative opinions. 

Please be careful of parishioners, who may even come across as very devout, but talk poorly of others, they are Christian by name only. There are some who look to gain your confidence in order to convince you to join their legion, please be cautious. Ask yourself whether these people are working to increase the love of God in your soul or the love of them and their agenda.

Satan will use these people to divide our parish because "if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand." Is this what we want for our parish? Is this what we want for those who find a home at Holy Family?

I call upon all of you who treasure Holy Family Parish for what it is, who desire the well-being, joy and holiness of those who come to our parish, to hold onto this treasure even in the face of storms. 

"Give not that which is holy to dogs; neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turning upon you, they tear you."

Fr. Fromageot was given a "surprising" exit from Holy Family Parish in Vancouver. Was it because of this sermon? 

Here are the words of Fr.Geddes to the Parish after the news broke.

"Fr. Fromageot will be transferred to the United States this week and therefore today is his last Sunday at Holy Family.As much as this comes as a surprise and disappointment to us, let us keep in mind that we priests serve the needs of the Fraternity. We also promise obedience to our superiors and sometimes this comes at the expense of our desires.”
