BC Catholic "Newspaper" Redeemable?

I guess if I was a nice guy, charitable and not so RIGID, I would respond with

"Better late than never."

"Sorry BC Catholic, I knew you would come around"

"Wow, I write a concern one day, and the next day I get results!"

But I won't say any of that, this blog is small and only gets around 200-300 hits a day, most probably by accident. But perhaps the BC Catholic had been feeling the pressure anyway. So they felt they could sneak in a little mention of the "Dubia" to try to save face.

This hardly counts as reporting the news....in fact.....it is a historical opinion piece because lets face it...this is old news.

At least Msgr Gallo still has some power in the Archdiocese so they can not totally muzzle him. This faithful prelate is a virtual treasure chest of personal stories and really puts a human touch to the last 80 years of Church history.

BUT........the opinion piece is NOT fact......read the piece yourself and you will see that there is an outright LIE in it. Perhaps not deliberate, but still......get the facts straight.

Ah Yes....Notice the date...a little late..... I posted on the 2nd and Msgr. Gallo posted on the 3rd.
However notice how Msgr. states

"I am somewhat reluctant to write about this matter, given my profound respect for the Holy Father, and my absolute conviction of his primacy, his supreme power and authority in the Church, and that there can be no appeal against any decision made by him. This is well expressed in the maxim of Canon Law: Prima Sedes a nemine judicatur:“The Pope is judged by no one” (Canon 1404)."

Basically begging for forgiveness as he writes, you are not judging someone by asking questions. Ridiculous!

He also writes

"The much publicized letter of four Cardinals"

NOTE !!!!  Not publicized in the BC Catholic that is for sure.

AND IT IS NOT A LACK OF PRUDENCE by releasing to the media

GIVE ME A BREAK!

This man loves any media attention he can get...now he spends his morning homilies insulting the Cardinals.

And it was done in privately first....Read the Gospels Msgr. on what is supposed to happen next.

"If this matter had been dealt with in camera, the Pope would have called the four eminent Cardinals to explain the real sense of the document and in this way nobody would have been aware of all this business."

WHAT A JOKE ...and it is an outright lie!

BC Catholic "Newspaper" Shameful Journalism

Not one mention of the Dubia and the crisis in the Church. Who is the Puppet Master behind all of this?  The Dubia was made public over 4 issues ago, the editorial team has made a decision not to include any mention of the concerns. That's right keep the blind pew sitters in the dark. Stand up for once, I mean come on. Report the news!!!!....This is news.....you don't have to say you agree with the Dubia, just report what is going on.  Have you lost all integrity?
